Hand is about to fall off
Iam back working on the series of drawings for laser printing on leather. This one is inspired by a Russian fairytale about evil swans who wanted to separate a brother and sister. After endless amounts of tracing paper, I finally got the composition. I will adjust a few things here and there but this is pretty much it. On to the finish tomorrow!
I wish I didn't have to leave the beach.... There were so much more to capture ;)
Make this little guy as a gift to my professor
Sorry for disappearing for a little while- had a lot new stuff to work on. Here is one of the new projects - a re envisioned magic card. In my case it's an elf druid. I had so much fun working in mixed media that I decided I will do this one the same I did my illustration to Pigling Bland by Beatrix Potter- sculpture and digital. This is what I have so far
One of my spreads for the book illustartion class. Let's see how it will turn up!
And here it is in all its glory....
9 hours of inking..... Iam out
So on the last day of work some of my curly doodles turned into Marfa. Marfa lives in a little house on the edge of town. She is a little lost in time and space but very kind and caring. Marfa doesn't have many friends and sometimes wonders if her spavined is the reason.
One day Marfa found a cat that fell of a tree in her yard. The cat looked as if it had a concussion. His eyes couldn't focuse and he couldn't meaw. Marfa ran to the house and got him some milk in a bowl, so he could come to terms with the harsh reality and his surroundings. Luis, the cat, though Marfa was a good person and moved into her house.
