Long Crit

In the light of soon being back in school....this is one thing i don't miss about it - art crits (oh, and 8 am classes - i mean, WHY??? I think they are equally torturous to the professors.)

For those who are not in the know - critiques of each others work on an average is proven to take 3 + hours each time. One would think that over the years the time necessary for it would shorten by a bit....but no. Three years - they are still as long as when we started in freshman year....

But it is not all bad. It is very gratifying to see your work along side your classmates. It is inspirational,: it gives you an opportunity to see who others respond to what you have slaved over. It is motivational and helps you reach higher in your accomplishments.  And it is kinda celebratory  because it is an end result to many hours of hard labor.

I just wish it took a bit less time. Or some drinks would accompany the process. :)

Until then... i'll be sketching.
